The Most Annoying, Pretentious And Useless Business Jargon

Sometimes jargon makes sense, sometimes it doesn't.... I figured we should have an interesting headline for this week , but the reality is that sometimes using your own business jargon is important and is not a useless waste of time.  This article at forbes outlines some useless terms -   Article Link , but there are some important facets to your business that do make a difference. As an example most ERP systems force you into speaking using their terminology - IE its not a Client its a Customer Code , or it's not an Item Number its a Product ID.  These subtle differences make it harder for your company to communicate on Report A it's Product ID but on Report B it's  Item Number,  this causes confusion and ultimately wastes time and energy.  So what to do? - The MDS system now allow you to   update and add f ield by field Custom Labels , and Custom Help message to go along with them.  Now your ERP system can match to ...
