The Most Annoying, Pretentious And Useless Business Jargon

Sometimes jargon makes sense, sometimes it doesn't....

I figured we should have an interesting headline for this week , but the reality is that sometimes using your own business jargon is important and is not a useless waste of time.

This article at forbes outlines some useless terms -  Article Link, but there are some important facets to your business that do make a difference. As an example most ERP systems force you into speaking using their terminology - IE its not a Client its a Customer Code , or it's not an Item Number its a Product ID.

These subtle differences make it harder for your company to communicate on Report A it's Product ID but on Report B it's  Item Number,  this causes confusion and ultimately wastes time and energy.

So what to do? - The MDS system now allow you to   update and add field by field Custom Labels , and Custom Help message to go along with them.  Now your ERP system can match to you corporate environment and not the other way around.

Save time and simply your business process by standardizing the name's and label for all kinds of information in your system, all while not affecting any programming code or changes, And allowing for seamless upgrades.
